I visited Van Gogh Festival in Brzózki – and it’s an experience that stays with you.
Not only because of the murals that turn ordinary walls into landscapes full of color and movement, but also because of the atmosphere. For two days, the Noteć Valley transforms into an open-air gallery — where art meets nature, and people meet each other.
📍 I brought back a few photos: the map, fragments of murals, sculptures scattered around the space. But I didn’t photograph everything — and that’s a good reason to return and see the rest with my own eyes. Sometimes it’s worth leaving something undiscovered, so you have a reason to walk back again… and breathe.
Twórcze Brzózki – about the place
The organizers, Twórcze Brzózki, are a community that believes art can heal, unite, and awaken sensitivity. In this small village, they are creating a space where everyday life becomes art, and art becomes everyday life. It’s not just murals and installations — it’s also meetings, workshops, concerts, and conversations.
“We connect nature with imagination, colors with silence, action with reflection.”
And that’s exactly how it felt.
A program full of diversity
The two festival days offered not only concerts, workshops, and artist talks, but also more intimate experiences.
- On the Main Stage, there were concerts by Ada Konop, Andrzej Sikorowski, and even a screening of Loving Vincent.
- In the Festival Tent, visitors could take part in literary workshops, lectures (with Prof. Michał Rusinek and Prof. Dagmara Drzazga), and talks with Agnieszka Kijas — author of the album Vincent van Gogh. The Man and the Artist.
- The Creative Energy Zone offered yoga, breathing practices, and workshops to open up creativity.
- And finally, the Art Activities Tent became a space for children and youth, with open workshops and a table theater performance.
This variety shows that the festival is not just about looking at art, but about experiencing it with your whole self.
What remains?
I came back with my head full of images and inspirations that will surely find their way into my sketchbook.
This is one of those events that reminds you art isn’t a luxury or an addition — it’s a way of seeing, listening, and breathing.
✨ If next year you’re looking for a place to slow down and feel art in its simplest form — Van Gogh Festival in Brzózki is the perfect destination.
