“Let Me Stay” – a book that doesn’t fix, but understands

You won’t heal me with your presence.
Leave me where I choose to be.
Don’t come looking.
Let me stay.

This is how the book begins. Not with a loud introduction. Not with a promise of a happy ending. But with a request. Quiet. Clear. One that lingers long after you finish reading.

“Let Me Stay” is a collection of 24 short stories—each titled with a name. Each one a decision, a path, a solitude.
This is a book about those who could’ve stayed… but didn’t want to.
Who saw the road ahead but decided not to take it.

There is no sensationalism here. No oversimplification.
It’s a book for those who understand that not every soul wants to be “saved.”
But every soul deserves to be respected.

🖋 Why did I write “Let Me Stay”?

For the ones who stayed.
For the ones who left.
For those struggling silently, not fitting into the “just keep fighting” narrative.

I wanted to write something… real. Without a filter. Without moralizing.
With room for anger, helplessness, surrender—and room for understanding.

📘 What’s inside?

– 23 short stories, each titled with a name (like Icarus, Lucia, Noa, Aelia, Magnus…),
– the last one—Sophie—closes the book like a farewell letter from the author,
– touching, emotionally raw stories that don’t point fingers but search for light in the dark,
– delicate but not soft—this book doesn’t pretend life is simple.
